This is the pebbling in my back garden. It was lovely and white when I laid it.

It's impossible to turn back the aging process.

We need to embrace the change and to grow old gracefully.

Eurovision today.

We always go to a Eurovision party - this year I represented Romania.
I baked this traditional Romanian cake - Amandine. It's very sugary and a total chocolate overload.
Not done any baking since junior school (chocolate rice-crispie buns)... had to buy a mixer.
In my opinion there's a lot of eggs and sugar in this cake.

I made it coeliac friendly i.e. Gluten free.

I had to make 4 gloopy mixtures for the: sponge, moistening syrup, filling and glazing. It took ages.

St Peter's Church in Barton upon Humber

This Anglo-Saxon church was founded in about the 9th century, the tower in the 10th century.

The church is now run by English Heritage and is Grade I listed.

The oldest graves on the site date from the 9th century.

Barton has two churches less than 500 metres apart. St Mary's and St Peter's.

This was originally built in the 11th century but was enlarged and modified in the 13th.

Jumped on a train to Scarborough. There wasn't many other people there.

We have 4 massive strip lights in our tiny office.

They are so bright they never get switched on.

The light from the windows back lights our screens so we generally keep the shutters closed.

We work in the dark.

Mark Steel came to Barton on his "Mark Steel's in Town" tour.
Quite a good mix of material, a lot of it about the local area, and topical enough to cover today's promotion to the Premier League of Hull City.

The Hepworth Wakefield is an art gallery in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.

The gallery is situated on the south side of the River Calder and takes its name from artist and sculptor Barbara Hepworth who was born and educated in the city.

The gallery was designed by British architect David Chipperfield
