Eagles 100

On the way to and from a visit with my daughter and her family in Iowa this past weekend, I made stops at Lock and Dam 14 to photograph the eagles. I was at the dam the last week of December and there weren't too many eagles and all they were doing was sitting in the trees. This time, both Friday morning and Sunday afternoon when I stopped, there were a bunch of eagles (I'd say 40 or more) and boy, were they active. They really put on a show! It is a thrill to watch these fabulous birds in action and to spend time photographing them! And I love how close you can get to the action on the Iowa side of the dam.The eagles seemed totally unperturbed by all of the photographers that were there.
