These two rocks found near Øster Velling seem quite anonymous in daylight but in darkness and illuminated with a flashlight parallel to the surface these patterns emerge. They are found at a nearby Bronze Age burial mount. Thanks to my wife for waving the magic flashlight.

I am not much of a royalist to state it mildly. I can’t see what they have to do in a democracy but naturally the whole school was going to see her come to town today and it was one big party. Sure we had a good day. I count myself lucky to get this shot of the lovely couple. Not the kind of picture you will find in the news ;o)

I don't know the story this guy has to tell.

It happens all over the place around here. A lot of people go bankrupt. That is one thing but there is a sort of mental bankruptcy that goes hand in hand with it. It starts with a hole in the roof that you just don't have the force to go and mend or you just can't care enough and it ends something like this.

A spotted seal had the courtesy to lie on a rock with the ruins of Kalø castle as backdrop. And do it just as I passed by this morning on my way to work.

The first industrial scale wind turbine in Denmark was build by Poul La Cour in 1896. It used the electricity to produce hydrogen (!) for lighting and energy for the small town Askov.

These are modern turbines close to my home.

I am shocked beyond words. A first I found the whole scenery quite fascinating. But then I realized that the traditional witch was replaced by a stereotype of a coloured woman and it all turned ugly... They are going to burn her at the stake. They were earlier today carrying her through town in a sort of parade. First the woman flanked by two Danish flags. Then the orchestra. After that the children of the town in trailers. Then a number of newly-weds in limousines. Then a closed wagon with the unmarried and finally the fire brigade.

Could all be a fascinating display if it wasn't for the coloured woman.

I don't know why but somehow I find the railway station in Randers is the loneliest place on the planet.

My 40d has made way for a 5d. I truly like to work with it but it still takes a little getting used to...
