I did not even notice the reflection in the polished stone until I downloaded this set. I need to retake this one when I am not rushing; it would work better if I had shot from just a bit lower.

I have driven by this cemetery a thousand times and had never stopped in to check out the stonework, assuming that because it was a newer cemetery, it wouldn't have anything of great interest. Bad assumption! I'll return again when I have more time to explore.

I'm assuming that is St. Sebastian himself on the stone. He appears pierced by arrows in a number of paintings and statues.

An interesting combination of statuary in this cemetery. I usually like the extravagant statuary in the Victorian cemeteries, but these simple and inexpensive fiber glass things (Mary is fiberglass too) are just as heartfelt; just not as permanent.

Not sure if this is Meriden or Middlefield, but it is on Mount Higby facing west into Meriden. Just beyond the trees in the foreground, a straight drop-off. I wonder why 1) someone painted "Jesus Saves" and someone else unsuccessfully tried to block it out.

Toned it down a bit .... I've driven by this for years and finally pulled over and got a shot.

Bonus: its been almost a month since I last painted, but this shot has me moving again. I'll share it when I'm done. About time! Thanks, little barn....
