It took me 40 min. to shoot this time lapse. While the camera shot the intervals I spotted the local wildlife. I saw a White-tailed Eagle catching a fish inn the ocean and a Goshawk chasing starlings and redwings. The goshawk flew by me at no more than 5-6 meters. I had to put my binoculars down because it was so close.

All in all a great trip.

I made this tutorial in my HDR Time Lapse group

To those who wanted to know, I use my Dell XPS M1530 2,50 GHz, 4,0 GB RAM for all the editing

This one went of like a rocket straight to #1 All Time most interesting video on Flickr after just one day. Thanks everybody for your comments and faves.

This is the first time I`ve tried movement with time lapse. I realized that my 5 sek interval was to long because I had to move the camera to much to not let the ship get out of the frame.

Made from 107 HDR shots. Time lapse put together in Quick Time Pro with 15 fps.

Time lapse made in Quick Time Pro with 15 fps.

This one was a lot of work. First I shot 500exp using the interval timer on my D300. Then I made 100 HDRs with Photomatix batch function. Then I realized that the horizon was out of line and I had to make Photoshop adjust the angle on all 100 HDRs. Then I put them all in Lightroom to adjust the color, size and name of each file. Finally I made the time lapse in Quick Time Pro.

HDR Time Lapse reworked

I decided to improve my time lapse.

I made the colors more vibrante in Lightroom and made the film 15 fps compared to 10 fps on my first upload which now makes for a smoother film.

This time I used Quick Time Pro to make the time lapse instead of windows movie maker.

What do you think? Is it better?

The film is still; HDR time lapse from 100 HDRs (500 exp.) with 5 sek. interval between each 5exp. Shot with Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm using the interval timer on my D300.

Every May 1, Jæren MC arranges a parade of motorcycles. This year there was aprox. 1.500 bikes.

The police close all traffic during the parade. 40 sek into this film you can see them returning on the other side of the road.

831 exp. taken at 1 sek. interval.
