The view to the Sagrada Familia from Casa Milá's rooftop terrace. I stood here for about 15 minutes waiting for the view through the arch to be free of people, but it was never going to happen. In the end, I made do with what I was given and it didn't turn out so bad after all.

An old typewriter in the display apartment within Gaudi's Casa Milà, Barcelona. Somewhat amazed at how crisp this turned out, as I simply rested my camera on a flat surface, clicked and hoped that my 0.6 second exposure would be somewhat useable.

Casa Milá's rough-hewn exterior originally earned it the disparaging moniker of "La Pedrera" or "The Quarry".

It's hard to imagine now, but by the mid-1980s, much of the building was in disrepair and the exterior had been painted brown.
