No matter how often you see the Duomo in Florence Italy it's sheer architectural beauty and size never fails to impress. It is without doubt one of the world's most outstanding man made creations.

It might be a bit expensive for a coffee in the Uffizi cafe, but with such a glorious view of the Duomo over the rooftops just relax, take your time and enjoy this magnificent city.

To see the original David statue by Michelangelo visit the Accademia. You may have to stand in line for a while but it is one of the many highlights of any trip to Florence.

One of the most romantic and photographed spots in all of Florence is " The Ponte Vecchio ". Indeed if you are considering proposing marriage to your loved one you can even buy the engagement ring right here on the bridge from one of the many jewellers shops that line both sides.
