The first pass finished on the giant machine. I set it up wrong and it ended up with too little variation in the densities of the pixels. But I hope to go over some bits of it again, with more ink.

There was an article about this media commentator in the local Evening News - a number of billboards in the area have been commented on, and it's something I think is unusual and good - Someone challenging the hegemony of the advertisers. The billboard next to this had a directive to go and see the film "zeitgeist" to see why "Murdoch = Satan" however, so it's hit and miss.

Stewart Blaik, the chairman of Leith Central Community Council condemned this commentary, insisting that the very fact there was some thought behind it, and it wasn't just "kids running riot with spray cans", made it even worse. A city councillor said it was good to see people being interested in politics, but this wasn't the best way to express it.

It isn't clear if this is just one person or what, but some seems to be specifically anti-american, where anti-marketing seems more appropriate.

There's a turntable here, where they get flipped around. It's all done by hand too - the drivers just get out and push it round.
