£3.70 to enter such a fantastic place. Tight spiral staircases , dark narrow corridors , spooky corners , three levels to explore , great views from the roof..Newark Castle is right on the coastline next to Ferguson's Shipyard in Port Glasgow. Dating back to the 14th century and extended through the years by the Maxwell Family. Given to the nation in 1919 and run by Historic Scotland.
