This is Rome: not the city, but the effect filter in the Flickr mobile app. (Following some preliminary abuse in Pixlr Express).

No flowers today but happy Valentine's to all who observe the compulsory rituals of pink postcards, heart-shaped cookies and balloons, and candle-lit restaurants. That's all good - don't forget to love each other!

Lens distortion is intentionally exaggerated in editing, I felt like a 'fisheye' look. I imagine such distortion may not be to the taste of my friend DanielKHC, who shoots with a Nikkor 14-24mm ('world's best lens -ever') - but even back when he took me on this marina walk, with his (then) 11-16mm he wouldn't allow any visible distortion. But he is a perfectionist, I am not :) ))

This is Charvil Meadows where the dog sometimes takes me for walks. No more meadows (they can rebrand to Charvil Lakes) - as the little river Loddon has become a little bigger this week...

No Instagram involved, just a phone pic processed with PicsPlay and PicSay Pro, similarly named apps that do different things.

This has been a hairdresser's for at least 10 years (since I moved to the area), but the old Post Office sign is there to stay, part of the gorgeous little facade - and the character of Twyford.
I think the filter abuse befits this subject; needless to say it's all done in the phone - and Upstream-ed, tags, groups, map and all...

I liked the orange light of this lantern and pointed the phone to take a shot - when I noticed my screen flickering in an unusual way. I decided it was frequency interference between the lamp and the screen refresh rate. Bit then, when I opened the photo four editing, I saw this strange array of 'ghost' glowing lights - like some sci-fi movie... Still struggling to figure a physical explanation but thought it looks nice :)
