I took this picture in the longest day in the year and from a place quite in north: the summer solstice in Sweden. It was 1 am and there was still a lot of light in the sky. Moreover the place there around Västerås was very amazing, unless for the mosquitos :)

This picture has been taken to try my new len that i bought few days ago, the Tokina 12-24mm AT-X Pro DX. It seems to be a good len.

PhotoshopCS4: Light on the top decresed (it was too burned), light contrast mask.

Picture taken in the beautiful zoo of Eskilstuna. Unfortunately all the glasses were really matt and scratched so I could not take many beautiful picture, but however I took this shot of my favorite animal: The Sumatra Tiger!

Picture taken during a beautiful sunrise in Västerås harbor. It was early in the morning and I took my bike and, together with a friend, I went there to see the colorful sunrise.

Post Processing :
DynamicPhotoHDR: HDR from a raw file only on the sky.
PhotoshopCS4: Saturation increased on the blues,hue compensation on the water, image rotated.
LightRoom2.2: Noise reduction, clarity increased, color recovered to enfatize the darks

In a foggy morning of stockholm, on the cost of Mälaren lake, there were many swans, geese, gulls and other kind of birds. They were hungry and of course, without fear of people :)

Techical Details:
- Canon 400D
- Canon 18-55 @33mm (equivalent to 52.8mm)
-1/800sec, f/4.5, ISO400

Post Processing:
PhotoShop:Noise reduction (to avoid noise for high iso), Unsharped mask (the fog made a gloss too strong), exposure increased at +0.8 and diffuse glow on the sky.

Green Aurora on frozen lake

National park of Abisko (Kiruna)
Swedish Lapland

In the Artic Circle, close to NorthPole, there is Abisko, a village in the national park of Sweden.
10pm, I saw the aurora for the first time of my life. It was incredible, for me and for my "wife" called canon 400D...
The green on the bottom is his reflection on a frozen lake.

- Canon 50mm f1.8
- Tripod
- 50mm (equivalent to 80mm), 13sec, f/1.8, ISO800

Post Processing:
PhotoShop:Noise reduction, contrast slightly increased

22/01/2009 In the Artic Circle, close to NorthPole I visited the only one Ice Hotel in the world. Costantly -5 degrees, more than 50 artistic rooms with many sculptures... really a beautiful place!!!

I took this picture walking on the path of Cliffs, in Howth, the Dublin's Bay. Thi road leads to the lighthouse that you can see in the center of the image.

Post Processing steps:
Photoshop CS4: Most of elaboration has been made by CS4, first of all the compensation of exposure between the sky and the lands. Then I applied an improvement of color temperature and other small fixes.
LightRoom 2.4: Noise reduction, saturation improved.

Calm midnight

The picture has been taken close to the bridge which connects Västerås with the wonderful isle of Björno. It was midnight, but in July here is still possible to see the sunlight at that time. Amazing!

Post Processing steps:
Photoshop CS4: Levels improved to the whole image and once more on the sky to improve the range of colors, exposure fixed on the sand and on the boat to recover the flash effect, desaturation of yellows on the boat.
LightRoom 2.4: Warming of sky's colors, little vignettature, noise reduction.

I took this picture during my "photography vacation" in London. I

was beside Westminster Bridge and in the sight we see the Big Ben

and Parliament UK on the left. On the bridge, there are two light

trails, one is made by a bus and another one is from a car.

London Underground

I took this shot from TOTTHENAM COURT ROAD underground station before the underground's guards pushed me away :) I had just 2 minutes to set up my tripod and camera and to take this picture. I chose to make it with HDR effect to enfatize the colors of the ground and walls.

Dynamic Photo HDR: from a single JPG file, with option "Eye-catching".

This shot is one of thousands amazing sights that I could see in London. I had a wonderful trip there, only dedicated to photography, only with the company of my good friend Gianluigi and our two girls (the two canon reflexes!). The picture has been taken from a pier on the river Thames.

Sight from Prison's Island

I was in Stockholm and I booked a night in Långholmen Hotel (an old prison adapted and renovated like an hotel), the atmosphere was so beautiful and “heavy” ... It was midnight, I was alone in the wild, in an island were many prisoners stayed until 1975. However, I cannot resist and I did it. I took a picture of a sight of Stockholm from there, including the almost frozen lake and a beautiful tree.

Dynamic-PhotoHDR: Hdr from a single JPEG shot with Eye-catching feature.
