This Laughing Dove has made her nest on a windowsill of my former home. It was wrecked by a Cyclone, but at least is still being put to good use.

The unmistakable 'Glossy Ibis', common in the South, buts gets less common as you move North. The most I have seen at the same time on Masirah is 5.

My first sighting of this particular Egret species (on Masirah), attracted to the area after heavy rains left lots of standing water. Its hard to believe that this is not a natural lake or marsh area, but soon this will revert to a dry, sun-baked, sandy scrub.
