Michael on the left there was the originator of the "Mini lightning talks" idea which allowed ScotchBof to continue till nearly 2am. He also became the designated cat herder because the room kept trying to split off into separate conversations the entire time.

This was during the Wiring up Django Packages tutorial. One of the most useful talks I went to this year since it was all django packages and all the best of the best of them.

The man on the left is their CTO. I feel I lightly trolled them by asking "We're using Sumologic, why would I switch to Loggly?"
His answer was actually quite good. It boiled down to "We're more standards based whereas you have to install extra stuff to use SumoLogic"

Mini Lightning Talks

After being "visited" by security we went for a mini lightning talk round. That actually ended up being one of the best ideas of the night, and made the scotch bof one of the best hallway tracks of the entire conference for me. I believe I'll be continuing this tradition.

One of the funnier key notes this year. From one of the creators of RasberryPi, he convinced his employer that "For unspecified business reasons our next phone MUST have an ARM11 processor"
Which then due to economies of scale suddenly was cheap to buy for RasberryPi's!
