This is my favorite forest; it's a magical place by my cottage where I grew up. I'll always turn into a little kid when I'm here.

It was -27C (-17F) when I shot this! I didn't realize just how cold it was until I stopped shooting (about an hour into skiing). Suddenly, it made sense why the mountain was empty (and my fingers were ready to fall off). :D

I came very close to selling my camera (I sold the first one just a month after I got it), but this weekend made me very happy I didn't (even if their value is plummeting...). I'll file it under Mastercard "Priceless" value; you can't put a dollar amount on the happiness it brings me. Now, if only I could bring that kind of joy to my landlord.. haha. ;)

The last few days have been amazing fun; I was lucky enough to spend this weekend at Breckenridge for the Dew Tour. I saw old friends, friends I haven't seen in way too long, friends I thought I'd never see, and made a boatload of new friends. Throw in some snow and wood planks, and you have yourself a winning combination.

First snow one winter when I was in the Czech Republic. I found this going through old photos because I'm going through terrible withdrawals (home and family are where the heart is!). If someone would like to donate a plane ticket so I can go python-hug my fam and run through the woods, I would be forever grateful. :))
