I felt the blossoms needed the soft treatment instead of shooting them with the Nikon in my usual Vivid(+) setting.

Taken from the Ojibway Avenue bridge to Algonquin Island. It was a perfect sunny day, the kind that calls for a polarizer on the lens. So glad the weather forecasters who called for clouds and snow were WRONG! It was a bit blustery on the lakeside facing the city but not here.

I was told by my young cousin that in school they had learnt this could've been the Loch Ness Monster. True? And we thought dinosaurs died before the modern age!

Beside the ferry docks is a large park, where there were people strolling and dogs playing. That's the massive hotel in the background. I took a few shots while waiting for the ferry to Ward's Island of the Toronto Islands.

I took a deliberately vertically blurred shot with my camera of this large crystal in the gem collection of the ROM. Then I added a Pixlr-o-matic rustic border, andi in Corel fixed the edges of the border (too light for my taste). I think Pixlr-o-matic on the iPad shrinks the image. So even though I saved it in original size, it was still smaller than the original. And I'd just like to say Photostream is not instantaenous or seamless from desktop to iCloud.

There's something calming and uplifting about watching a person walking their dog. And it's very difficult taking one's eyes off the dog. Even the most obedient ones have personality in their step and can make one stop and smile.
