I finally broke down and installed Photomatix to process some of my bracketed shots. Here is the first bit of output.

It's a shot I took of a waterfall at the end of Lyman Rd. in Lyman/Littleton/Lisbon New Hampshire. About a quarter mile downstream, this empties into Ogontz Lake. I shot this in early October. The foliage was just getting kicked into full swing, but this shot doesn't have much.

I do like how the Exposure Fusion feature works in Photomatix. With zero effort from me, it balanced the exposure quite nicely without turning the image into something cartoonish and tacky. I have a bunch more to do, hopefully they all turn out this well.

I've realized that my passion for photography has been languishing as of late. To counteract this, I've decided to reinstate my "Best Camera" daily photo project in an attempt to get the juices flowing. I'm still using the same POS Samsung Alias2 cameraphone, which will be getting replaced with something slightly better in the near future. The pictures might not be great, the exposure might be totally out of control, but the skills will be sharpened... and that's all I'm looking for.
