This is a popular intersection for cops. People used to speed down Woodbine Avenue all the time. The cops would hide out here next to these snowbanks to catch speeders. I think by now almost everyone knows that this is a police hot spot.

I'm not very good at making a heart with my hands.

This is a tank top I rarely wear, since the first time I wore it was to a Brand New show, and it was somewhat stretched because I was shoved around in the crowd so much.

Valentine's Day is almost here and I already know who's mine! ;)

Note: this is my first time putting so much manipulation into a photograph since... maybe five years ago when I was fifteen! I don't usually do this. I guess this is special —for a special someone for working so hard, maybe? XO

In the dead of winter, if you look outside and see a clear blue sky, you know you're in deep trouble. Days like this are always much colder than overcast days where it looks like it's about to snow. I hate this misleading, deceiving weather! It was so @#$%ing windy today!

The table cloth at the restaurant we went to tonight for Chinese New Year was quite pretty. It appears weaved with a checkered pattern, which I love.

This was a part of a Lines assignment for school for my level one photography class. It was my first time ever taking black & white photographs (this was the first shot in the film.)

I processed, cropped, enlarged, developed, fixed, etc. the film and this photograph all by myself in a darkroom. Not bad, huh?

This is one of my favourite photographs in my high school career.

This was not scanned; it was taken with my old digital camera for quick upload.

I think this was the vice principal's jeep in the parking lot. I absolutely love the angle. My photography teacher didn't like that the jeep blended into the sky, but I'm a fan of the result.

This was not scanned; it was taken with my old digital camera for quick upload.

This was taken with the camera resting on a car. It was a bright day with lots of snow on the ground, thus the overexposure. I thought the sign would be a lot clearer in the positive. Guess I was wrong!

Crown Necklace

This is one of my favourite necklaces. I wear it almost everyday now, along with another necklace if I feel like matching my clothes. One of mom's clients bought me this from her honeymoon trip because she wanted to bring us souvenirs. Funny thing is, I've never even met the woman! What a sweet lady, with great taste at that!

Curry Goodness

Whenever we go to Vic Hong for pho, my family would always order curry beef with a loaf of bread. It's really good curry! I really love Vietnamese food and can't get enough of it!—though my roommate is clearly the bigger pho fan. Once, her boyfriend and she drove out during a snowstorm just to get pho for lunch. Crazy, no?

I avoided pulling out my camera during lunch today, but the colours jumped out at me. I couldn't resist!

On my way to lunch with mother today. She was convinced I left something at home or got lost because I took so long. Nope, it was because I was taking photos on my way to the restaurant. Don't let me drive alone!

This is the church on Woodbine Ave. and Millbrook Gate. I'm at the intersection traffic light waiting to turn right. The pedestrian "go" signal means the other street gets to go and so I'm stuck... waiting... and waiting...

Lunar New Year Dinner : 040/365

I think the grandparents were quite happy we all came out to dinner tonight for Lunar New Year. Grandpa was satisfied with the food and grandma's just happy she didn't have to cook and do any work. We got some quality family time and the food wasn't bad. We all win!

Chinese Tea

I actually prefer English breakfast or Ceylon orange pekoe, but I've gotten quite used to drinking Chinese tea over the years. Of course, being Chinese and constantly going to Chinese restaurants help. They would call me crazy if I asked for milk and sugar. Mind you though, at home, even my grandfather uses Ceylon orange pekoe for milk tea.

How long will my food take?

We went to a new restaurant 15 minutes from our house today down on Woodbine Ave. They were speedy and the food was quite delicious! Mind you, we all know they were quick so they could clear our table for the next round. It's a busy weekend for Chinese New Year dinners!

Compared to the positive, this looks much better. The snow is much clearer in the actual hard copy of the photograph.

There's apparently a person in the background, but I can never find the figure in my negative. This is by far the best negative of the seven I have ever done with my pinhole camera.
