Karen has this view every day. She's my sister and she and her husband and sons have been totally spoiled for 15 years at this location. I always bring my camera when I visit.

Waterford, Virginia, is a small, quiet, and beautifully preserved village. Located not too far from civilization, the locals have managed to keep their beautiful environment intact. This stack of bird houses is one of numerous cool features of Waterford's "main street".

This afternoon in Chicago, taken with phone camera through office windows. This sighting will finally teach me to have a real camera nearby at all times. The steam rising from the building lower-center has no connection with the rainbow effect above it. Reflections off the windows detracts from the amazing scene, but I figured this was better than nothing.

In Waterford, you have to go to the post office to pick up your mail. Residents have a little box with a combination. If your mail doesn't fit in the little box, you go to the little window and tell the postmaster that you have something to pick up. How wonderful it was to turn back the clock and see olden times right before my eyes.

Is it me, or is that corner store leaning? Waterford, VA. (both) These cyclists suddenly and unexpectedly came storming out of nowhere. I grabbed my camera (which was already in my hand) and managed this shot.
