Greylag Geese, Mallards, Black Headed Gulls, Whoopers in the distance. (and the only pigeons we saw on the house there)

the city of Reykjavik from Hallgrimskirkja the tallest building (and not to mention a striking buliding in it's own right) in Iceland. and yes of course I have photos of the outside too-I don't have that many bird photos believe it or not-never had an actually birding "trip" and whenever I did see birds I seemed to have the wrong lens, and not enough time to switch or a complete camera failure, but don't worry there will be some-plus I can "borrow" my daughters :)

Like Catnip-except for Wasps (or whatever these guys are)-so WASPNIP?

I went looking for butterflies yesterday and though I did find some-what I really found was this amazing flowering bush-I don't know what it is but it seems to be irresistable to wasps (at least I think these are wasps) The skinny guy above loved them

my old friend......that's the name of this Iris from the Royal Botanical Gardens Iris and Peony Festival which my sister and I went to this week....we loved the dark ones like the one above.

There were soooo many Iris we almost went into Iris overload, plus it was 36C out-too hot!

I saw almost all of the Iris but the Peonies got mostly ignored by me but then as you all know I like Iris best! Also I thought avoiding heatstroke was a good idea.

As I was saying early I went to Amherst Island with fellow Flickrites Lydia and Ian (who has turned into a "private" person so you probably won't see his amazing shots) While heading to the ferry and hoping to see an amazing sunset Snowy Owl on the way there like last year, Ian spotted, and I think I was right behind him because I was looking for Snowies out there, a canine in the field-at first I thought it was a coyote-but then I saw the gorgeous red colour-whoot, whoot a Red Fox!
