Surrounded by green! I love that one. At Paquetá Island, where no cars and motorcycles are allowed... The streets in the island do not have asphalt because like this its more comfortable to the horses. :-)

The island was the former vacation destiny of the Guinle family with its beauty mansion. I heard that one of its rooms have a giant gift box that you can enter and there has a music organ with many tubes (like those in the old churches), creating a fancy atmosphere... WOW! Now the place belongs to the government and its not used has many decades, being a bit abandoned, unfortunately... Below, in the comments, you can see the former residence of this family that is used as the Governor house in Rio.

...I found this beautiful old house like a farmhouse. So peaceful. For the first time I saw the gate open! I always wanted to see what had inside... It is inside the lot of the big old wall in my previous photo, but I need to surround the place, going up even more the hill. The owners do not use that giant amazing old gate to enter, they use the ugly iron one... Would be good to live there... :-)

One of the most charming houses in the little city of Vassouras is the Casa da Hera House, since 1965 open to the public as a museum. Unfortunatelly its not allowed to photograth inside, but bellow has some few pictures found in the internet showing its luxurious interior, leading us to the old centuries... :-)
