In 2012 viert Bergen op Zoom dat de stad 800 jaar bestaat. Er zijn tal van evenementen en festiviteiten. Zo werd het historisch toneelstuk 'Diederick, Het Kind van de Rekening' 22 keer opgevoerd t/m 9 september jl.

In 2012, the Dutch city of Bergen op Zoom celebrates the city exists 800 years. There are plenty of events and festivities. An historical drama was played 22 times till 9 September 2012.

On Sunday, September 2, 2012 was the annual Redhead Day in the Dutch city of Breda. Thousands of redheads went to Breda to see each other and to present themselves and to be photographed.

Op zondag 2 september 2012 was het de jaarlijkse Roodharigendag in Breda. Duizenden roodharigen trokken naar Breda om elkaar te zien en om zich te presenteren en gefotografeerd te worden.

Op 4 juni 2011 bracht ik een kort bezoek aan het jaarlijkse Jazzfestival in Breda. Dit is Eva Kieboom van de Nederlandse band Sensuàl. Zij stal de show op de Grote Markt. Met opzwepende samba's bracht ze het publiek in extase.

On June 4, 2011 I paid a brief visit to the annual Jazz Festival in Breda. This is Eva Kieboom of the Dutch band Sensuàl. She was one of the best singers at the Grote Markt. With her intense sambas the audience came into ecstasy.

Op de vlaggetjesdagen in Drimmelen (Noord-Brabant) op 28 en 29 mei 2011 traden shanty-koren op. Daar krijg je dorst van.

On the flags days in the Dutch village of Drimmelen (28 and 29 May 2011) also was a performance of shanty-choirs. This will make you thirsty.
