The taxi drivers here prefer to stay inside their taxis all the time. When they are not driving, they are generally found eating, listening to music, talking, sleeping or just spectating the hullabaloo around them.

Another thing which I’m yet to figure out is how the whole of Calcutta manages to fall into a sort of quietus, everyday around afternoon, before fading into the quintessential commotion again. From the omnipresent taxiwallas to the affluent businessmen, every single person here still believes in the concept of “some time of my own”.

They both came carrying their respective umbrellas, sat next to each other, chatted for an hour or so, and then left. I expected them to share an umbrella, but they did not, it was romantic, don't know why but it really was.
Note: Taken on the beautiful Chandannagar Strand.
