A result of Mother Nature's fury, close-up. Tornado damage from last week's storms that hit Pensacola, Florida. Triumph Stag convertible survived a clash with a 45' sailboat that toppled onto it (along with the custom steel cradle for the boat, which was still awaiting repairs from being totalled in Hurricane Ivan), but has a few scars to show for the scrape. Cleaning up after last week's tornado (still) in Pensacola, Florida. Building in the background is affectionately known as the Noguere Museum, where *if Mother Nature will ever just let him,* Robert Noguere wil get his dream of a 500-lb. capacity (in a single molten pour) bronze foundry operational. A twister that started on the shore of Pensacola Bay seems to have taken the path of least resistance, a path cleared through the Savannahs (townhomes) and over the narrow peninsula between the bay and Bayou Chico by Hurricane Ivan. The first blue sky reveals more tree damage, and standing water where houses stood prior to the twelve foot storm surge, three years ago, that accompanied Ivan when that storm came ashore. This large tree at the corner of Bayshore Dr. and Bayshore Dr. in Pensacola looks as if it was literally twisted apart. It was in the path of a tornado that struck this west side neighborhood of the nation's first city last week. Dsc01422.Jpg

Patio furniture lifted, twisted and dropped into standing water in vacant lot in path of tornado that began at the edge of Pensacola Bay, moved through the downtown Pensacola area and continued on a northeasterly path to Cordova Mall. DSC01384.JPG
