Dan and I had a wonderful 5 day trip to WDW for Christmas. Suprisingly unlike last year Christmas Day itself wasn't insanely crowded (very crowded yes, but not to the insanity levels of last year :P) and actually the most crowded day was the day we arrived Tuesday!

We both took many pictures... as we both had new cameras! It was kinda interesting trying to figure out the new camera and seeing what it could do... I had been using the same camera for almost 3 years so it was quite a change! While I definitely have lots of room to learn on it I think I ended up with some good results.. not everything... but should have some really nice shots, some of which would have been impossible with my old camera!

Since getting back I have been busy with catch up holiday stuff and also while Dan was here we decided to start work on our Disney Character website that we have been discussing for what seems like forever... got a good start on that... and while it still needs lots of work (lots of data to be entered still)... if you are interested take a peak at Disney Characters and let us know what you think!

Tonight I decided I needed to get started on my pictures so started working on organizing them and looking through them... and of course had to upload at least one! So here is my first shot from our Christmas trip... hope you like it!

When I was working on it I noticed something I hadn't before... the snowflakes on the castle are Mickey flakes! You can make them out on the large size.

I re-edited this one now that I managed to find my install for Photoshop... just playing around a bit since I haven't done anything really with PS since my iMac died... definitetly like the colors better than the straight Lightroom edit I uploaded before!

During my first trip to DLP in Feb we spent almost every evening in Discoveryland (and ended up with some awesome pictures from there!) but this trip we wanted to explore a bit more around the park at night... I only took my tripod with me one night as it is annoying to carry around (but I just got a new better one so might be taking it with me more now!) and one place I definitely wanted to get some pictures of was Skull Rock and the Jolly Roger (big surprise eh? I want to take pictures of something Peter Pan related :P) The night time mood of Adventureland is awesome and hopefully this picture helps capture some of it :)

This will be my last picture for a little while... have lots of Holiday stuff going on and Dan and I leave for WDW on Tuesday morning :) Merry Christmas everyone! :D
