This film expired in 1999! Yesterday, it was threatening to storm but never did, so I hung out in Presidio National Park with the Golden Gate Bridge and some ominous clouds.

I stuck the second picture in my back pocket, which somehow resulted in those weird spots. It's a shame. I think they really detract.

I'm sad that 'Roid Week is over. I really enjoyed it. And I'm glad that it inspired me to take the SX-70 plunge. Can't wait for that to get here.

As always, I prefer it on black.

As a special Guerilla Art Exhibit for Roid Week Fall 2009, I made several "grids" of Polaroids and placed them out in public places with a sign saying "if you like one... Take one." - This one is made up of 6 Polaroid SX-70 prints (SX No.309-314) showing the lovely colors of Fall leaves on the ground in a park. It was placed behind security mesh on the door of a long closed-up theater called "le Clichy" on Rue d'Havre in Mons, Belgium. In effect, bringing a "window" into the natural world, directly to the middle of the city.

Last year I had the honor to take this photo of my friend Michael (who is currently in the process of switching jobs from financial consultancy to wedding photography) and his fiancée during a studio shoot for their wedding invitation cards. (They are married now.)

We were quite surprised to see that this old Polaroid 665 film (expired in 1997) still worked, although it wasn’t exactly ISO 80 anymore.
