In Budapest are nice "free places" too..When I go organize my day's programs I choose this road ( no bus!!! only my legs(((:), because on this road we can see cool houses, gardens, dogs, cats, birds, trees, one small runnel (brook)...and after about 45 minutes I am again in urban atmosphere (((((:

Another shot from last Friday evenings sunset walk with Beefy, here are some majestic trees backed by an intense and vivid sunset.

These silhouetted trees looked like they were dancing in the sunset!

Bettison's Folly is a tower in Hornsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is also referred to as Bettisons Tower and the Forgotten Folly,[1] it was built some time between 1829 and 1853 by William Bettison.

At the time, William Bettison was a Hull based brewer who built the folly on what was then his garden.[2] In those days communication was by sight, so his manservant would ascend the tower at the usual time his master returned from work, see him descending Southorpe hill and run down the tower to ensure 'dinner was served' as the master walked into the house.[2] It incorporates a cranked up flagpole, initially installed to convey private messages. During the Second World War the tower was an air raid look out point and siren (Hull was the most heavily bombed UK City after London). The siren was still in use in the late 1950s when a new siren was erected on the new firestation on Southgate. The Folly is decorated with locally made 'treacle' bricks,[2] highly fired for durability and subject to misshaping.

Nowadays, Bettison's Folly is a Grade II listed building[3] and stands in the middle of a new housing estate off Newbegin, the main street.

It is rarely open to the public.[4]

Introduction

Sanjeong Lake is a main attraction of Pocheon, situated down in the valleys between majestic Myeongseongsan (Mt. Myeongseong), Mangbongsan (Mt. Mangbong), and Mangmubong (Mangmu Peak).

Meaning “lake as clear as a mountain well,” Sanjeong Lake was built as a reservoir to supply water to farmland in 1925. Thanks to its surrounding attractions, the lake attracts many visitors each year. Promenades along the lake are popular for couples as well as tourists who stay in the nearby hotels. Beautiful fog often rises from the lake in spring and fall, making boating at night quite picturesque.

Hikers frequent Myeongseongsan in spring and fall; visitors love skating on the lake in winter. The lake is also surrounded by an amusement park, swimming pools, sledding facilities, and spa amenities, attracting many family visitors. Local restaurants are renowned for their delicious, wholesome food made using freshwater snails and mushrooms. Other local favorites include Maeuntang (spicy fish stew), Dotorimuk (acorn jelly), Sanchae Baekban (a bowl of rice served with wild herbs and vegetables), and Deodeok Gui (a grilled dish made from Codonopsis lanceolata root).
